Vandorn Hinnant

I have spent the past 25 years of my life fully immersed in a sincere engagement with Sacred Geometry, and what I call MetaPhysical geometry, as a point of departure in my work.

My mission continues to be one in which my artistic expressions will serve to spark the imagination of viewers with a sense of self-worth that translates into a respect for self in relation to others. I recognize the inherent power embodied in visual images and remain steadfast in my commitment to engender respect, dignity, and love via the forms I employ in my work. This is an understanding I
am identified with and rely upon which has survived thousands of years of suppression.

Social Justice, resilience, and racial equality can be achieved through artistic interventions such as those referenced in the above paragraph.

I consciously and deliberately utilize ancient knowledge of how to inspire humanity towards a vision of unity and of liberation from fear. This service to humankind is what fuels every thought in my creative process. There is a reason that many of the “Old Masters” in the visual arts were predisposed to include the “Golden Proportion” in each of their works of art and this extends to the designers of cathedrals and other places of worship around the world. My work grows out of these understandings. These understandings are at the very core
of my artistic practice.
