Lotus Do Brooks

Lotus Do Brooks is the Grand Daughter-in-Law of the renown and legendary singer, Cab Calloway. Mr. Calloway commented that her work of art, Minnie the Moocher is a true depiction of how he envisioned Minnie the Moocher. The song was sung by Cab Calloway, and famous for its nonsensical ad libbed (scat) “Hi De Hi De Hi De Hi”. The song was released in 1931, and inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
